Veteran DT Ja'Kerrius Wyatt brings grown-man toughness to MTSU
In the 2022 season, Ja'Kerrius Wyatt logged 26 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, 2 quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery in 13 games, with six starts for Middle Tennessee[1][7]. At 6-foot-3 and around 270 pounds, he profiles as a sturdy interior defender whose value goes beyond the box score: coaches credited him with 12 “winner” grades, and teammates elevated him into a captain, which says plenty about his competitiveness and leadership[1][6]. He’s the kind of dependable, physical DT who can fit a team that wants experience, maturity and a steady presence inside[1][6].
