Versatile G/F Spark for Colorado State's 26-10 Season
Shelton Johnson, a 6-3 sophomore Guard/Forward from Arlington, TX, delivered a complementary yet impactful 2025–26 season with Colorado State, averaging 4.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 43.5% shooting while anchoring the team’s 26–10 finish and second-place Mountain West run. His differentiators include elite versatility as a G/F who seamlessly switches positions, a 41.0% three-point threat that stretches defenses, and an intensity level that elevates in clutch moments—traits not captured in raw stats. Though not a stat leader, Johnson’s personality (witty, direct, team-first) and injury-free durability make him a reliable fit for teams needing a high-motor, adaptable piece. Why care? He’s the quiet engine behind Colorado State’s success, and his fit is ideal for squads valuing versatility over volume.
