Kaila Mangrum brings classic frontcourt grit to USD
Kaila Mangrum is a 6-foot forward for San Diego who was listed on the Toreros roster and described as a long-term fit for the program, choosing USD for its atmosphere and coaching staff. Her game profile leans toward steady frontcourt production, with early-career box scores showing rebounding, toughness, and low-mistake minutes rather than flashy volume. The big takeaway: she looks like the kind of player coaches trust for physicality, team defense, and glue-girl value—exactly the sort of dependable piece that can quietly make a roster better.
