South Dakota State’s veteran Jackrabbit linebacker with a blue-collar edge
Matt Grimlie brings Jackrabbit toughness and real program pedigree: South Dakota State’s history section lists him as part of the 2006 football team, and archived team materials also show he was a two-sport athlete who earned academic honors, which points to discipline and reliability beyond the box score. The strongest case for caring about him is fit: he profiles as a steady, high-IQ, team-first linebacker who can add value through preparation, effort, and consistency rather than flash.
