Talan Holiday is an early North Carolina arm trending up
Holiday, a 6-foot-2 freshman RHP for North Carolina in the 2026 season, has already shown poise and strike-throwing chops in limited action, including a scoreless, hitless inning in an early-February scrimmage and multiple fall-ball outings where he worked efficiently and missed bats. He was listed among D1Baseball’s notable UNC freshmen, which matters because he looks like a live developmental arm rather than a filler innings guy. The early read: competitive, composed, and usable now — with enough upside to make him an interesting fit for a pitching staff that values upside and fast adaptation.
