Brandon Smith brings **interception-making safety play** to Michigan
Brandon Smith stands out as a ball-hawking defensive back whose value goes beyond routine tackling, with Michigan listing him among players who piled up **172 total tackles** and **19 interceptions** in his career. That kind of turnover production signals strong instincts, range, and confidence in coverage—traits that matter if you need a safety who can help change games, not just keep them in front of him. The main question for a fit is whether his playmaking translates consistently against top-level competition and in the specific role Michigan needs.
