Sam Houston DB Dwayne Jones: Long, lean defender with upside, but public production is thin
Dwayne Jones is listed by Sam Houston as a 6-foot-2, 190-pound freshman defensive back from Houston’s Madison HS, which points to a length-and-range profile that coaches usually love on the back end[1]. Publicly available information shows very little verified on-field production or scouting detail, so the read is more about upside than proven impact right now[3][4]. If he flashes physicality, coverage versatility, and a high motor, he could be a useful developmental fit — but at this stage, he looks more like a watch-list prospect than a finished product[3].
