Alabama’s rugged, reliable line technician
Evan Mathis was a high-upside Alabama lineman who started his first three college seasons at tackle before moving to left guard as a senior, where he earned First-Team All-SEC honors in 2004. He stood out for versatility, durability, and nasty-play temperament—traits that translate well to teams needing a technically sound, tough interior blocker. The big caveat: he’s a former player, not a current Alabama roster piece, so this is a legacy profile rather than an active fit for a present-day depth chart.
