Adam Robinson was Iowa’s do-it-all chain-mover at running back
Robinson’s Iowa profile is built on production and reliability: in 2009 he led the Hawkeyes in rushing with 834 yards and five touchdowns, then followed with 941 yards and 10 scores in 2010, finishing with 1,775 career rushing yards at 4.6 yards per carry. He was especially valuable because he could handle volume, catch the ball out of the backfield, and generate chunk plays, which made him more than a straight-ahead runner. The one caution is durability/context: his college run included missed time and injury-related bumps, so he fit best as a physical, high-usage back when healthy.[1][12]
