Wesley Jones gives Charlotte a live-armed righty with starter upside
In the 2026 season, Charlotte RHP Wesley Jones has shown swing-and-miss ability and starter potential, including 10 strikeouts in 8.1 innings in early-season usage and a 6-strikeout, 4.2-inning outing against Queens on March 25, 2026[4][7][15]. He’s a big-bodied 6-foot-4, 225-pound right-hander from Charlotte Christian, which gives the 49ers a local arm with projection and familiarity with the program[1][3]. The strike-throwing can still sharpen up, but if your team wants a power pitcher with upside and enough stuff to miss bats, Jones is worth a look[2][4][7].
