Cooper Ellingworth brings strike-throwing depth and bullpen versatility to Troy
Ellingworth is a right-handed reliever whose appeal is a mix of strikeout ability, bullpen flexibility, and repeatable command: in 2024 at USC Upstate, he posted a 6.95 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 45.1 innings, earned Big South All-Freshman honors, and logged 10 scoreless outings; in 2025 he improved to a 4.86 ERA with 57 strikeouts in 53.2 innings. Reports on his amateur profile described a quick arm, a fastball that can reach the high 80s, and a slider with depth, suggesting a pitcher built to miss bats and handle leverage if his consistency keeps trending up.
