Austin Peay freshman LB Bobby Matthews brings developmental upside, not a stats-heavy profile yet
Bobby Matthews is a 6-1, 201-pound freshman linebacker for Austin Peay whose value right now is more about projection than production, since the public roster listing does not show game stats yet. As a young in-state defender from Dyersburg, Tenn., he fits the profile of a developmental pickup: compact enough to play with leverage, with room to add strength and become more physical against the run. Because there is no reliable public performance data yet, the key question is upside—if your team wants a willing, teachable linebacker to grow into the role, he is the kind of prospect worth monitoring.
