Mauratae Johnson brings proven tackling production and a ball-hawking edge to FAU’s secondary
Johnson’s profile is built on reliability, range, and playmaking: Florida Atlantic lists him as a defensive back who, in his 2001 season, led the team with 78 tackles, added an interception and a fumble recovery, and was named an All-American by Don Hansen’s Gazette. He also played through an injury, missing one game, which hints at toughness and high effort. If you want a safety who can finish plays and show up consistently, he fits the mold.
