Kathryn McChristy is the Leathernecks’ workhorse with strikeout upside and battle-tested mileage
In the 2026 season, Western Illinois senior pitcher Kathryn McChristy has been used heavily in the circle, appearing in multiple games and logging innings for the Leathernecks, which signals trust from the staff and a real ability to handle pressure moments.[1][3][8] Her profile shows a pitcher who can miss bats at times and give a team durability, though the season numbers also suggest she has been hit hard in some outings, so she looks more like a competitive, innings-eating option than a clean shutdown ace right now.[1][2][3][12]
