Yaakema Rose Jr. brings veteran toughness and two-way juice to Eastern Illinois
Rose is a compact, experienced guard whose calling card is toughness, playmaking, and disruption—he has shown he can score, rebound, and rack up steals, including a 2022-23 season at Eastern Illinois where he averaged 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game while missing the final weekend with injury. He’s the kind of glue guy who can swing a game with pressure defense, timely shot-making, and veteran composure; if a team needs a savvy, battle-tested guard who does a little of everything and doesn’t blink in big moments, he’s a fit.
