fresh arm, late-inning poise, and a quietly intriguing River Hawks add
In the 2026 season, freshman right-hander Colin Ducie has flashed immediate value for UMass Lowell with a composed debut, 4.0 innings of one-run ball and three strikeouts in his first collegiate start, plus a 2.0-inning scoreless save later in the year. His calling card is simple but effective: strikes, poise, and enough competitiveness to earn trust early in the bullpen mix. Add in the fact that he was a two-time league all-star in high school and chose UMass Lowell because he wanted to be pushed to improve every day, and you get a high-upside arm worth watching.
