Salmon entered college as one of the nation’s top pitching prospects and showed immediate strikeout ability at Texas, including 66 Ks in 62 innings as a freshman in 2025 and a 2.48 ERA, then followed with a 2.12 ERA and 5-0 record in 2026 before transferring to UCLA.[1][4] Her differentiators are a live right-handed arm, proven big-game makeup, and rare two-way background from Beaumont, where she posted a 0.86 ERA with 304 strikeouts and also hit .427 with nine homers as a senior.[7][9] She profiles as a high-upside fit for a staff that wants an experienced, competitive arm with swing-and-miss stuff.[8][10]
