Stony Brook DL Dimitry Russ brings veteran size and steady run-stopping grit
Dimitry Russ is a long-time Stony Brook defensive lineman whose profile is built on experience, length, and physicality rather than flash. The available team data shows him at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds in the 2014 roster, and earlier Stony Brook notes credited him with time at defensive end and production that included tackles for loss and a forced fumble in the 2013 season. He looks like the kind of dependable trench player who fits a disciplined defense: tough, local, and battle-tested, with enough edge to help in run fits and rotational pressure.
