a veteran Villanova linebacker with old-school toughness and reliable production
Ryan Breeden brings experienced, steady linebacker play to Villanova, with historical evidence of being a reliable tackler and a hard-nosed defender who earned playing time through work ethic and consistency. In Villanova’s 2002 season, he logged 16 tackles and a sack, and earlier seasons show he grew into a contributor after earning a scholarship the hard way—exactly the kind of detail that suggests a coach’s favorite. The takeaway: if you want a linebacker who plays with intensity, understands the assignment, and adds maturity to a defense, Breeden fits the bill.
