Versatile Akron defensive back with size, strength, and homegrown toughness
Vince Lockett is best known as a physical, multi-role defensive back who brings size, verified speed, and strength to Akron’s roster, with Hudl listing him at 5'11", 200 pounds, a 4.6 forty, and a 315-pound bench.[1] Akron and recruiting profiles show he was originally evaluated as a safety and also played running back and linebacker in high school, which points to a player with contact balance, instincts, and a willingness to do the dirty work.[3][5] If you value toughness, versatility, and a local player with a strong academic and work ethic background, he fits that mold well.[5]
