dependable West Virginia special-teams piece with a DB background
Shehl is best known as a four-year WVU defensive back and a steady holder, earning a reputation for dependability and trust in a high-pressure role for the Mountaineers. His differentiator is reliability: coaches have consistently valued his poise, football IQ, and versatility, which later helped him move into coaching and defensive leadership roles. For a team, he fits as a disciplined, low-mistake specialist who understands coverage, communication, and detail—more technician than headline-grabber, but the kind of player staff members trust.
