In the 2016-17 season, Jorge Bilbao was a tone-setting senior for UT Arlington, ranking fourth on the team in scoring (9.3 points per game) and second in rebounding (6.7 rebounds per game) while starting every game and helping the Mavericks win the Sun Belt title. His differentiators were effort, physicality, and reliability: he played with a high motor, finished well enough to be a frontcourt anchor, and piled up a program-record 127 appearances with 101 starts.
