Scrappy WMU Guard with Untapped Upside from JUCO Roots
DJ Houston, a 6'1" point guard for the Western Michigan Broncos, flashed breakout potential in his junior campaign averaging 9.4 points, 4.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 steals per game across 25 appearances, showcasing elite defensive intensity and playmaking vision. Earlier seasons saw modest output (1.8 ppg in 2018-19), but his JUCO stint at Fullerton College honed a gritty, high-motor style ideal for teams needing versatile backcourt energy. No major injury flags; his steals prowess and rebounding for a guard make him a sneaky fit for pressing defenses—watch for a senior surge.
