Louisville CB with 3 INTs and Elite Coverage Intensity
Gavin Smart, Louisville's #27 cornerback from Lakeland, FL, delivered a standout 2025 season with 3 interceptions and 40 solo tackles, showcasing elite coverage instincts and relentless intensity that go beyond raw stats. Unlike many peers, Smart combines high school receiving prowess (833 yards) with defensive discipline, allowing him to read routes with a quarterback's eye. He has no known injury history, maintains a high personality-driven focus on film study, and thrives in pressure situations. Smart is a top fit for teams needing a ball-hawking CB who brings both physicality and mental sharpness, making him a must-watch for 2026 draft prospects.
