Black Bears Safeties Coach Building Camp Talent, Not a Player
Spencer Carey is not a college or high school football athlete; he is the Special Teams Coordinator and Safeties Coach for the Maine Black Bears, entering his fifth season in 2026. His differentiator is his proven ability to recruit and develop future players through camps, having brought over 15 future Black Bears from his camps over the past two years. He recruits from Northern Virginia, Northern Maine, Quebec, and Vermont. Since he is a coach, not a player, he has no on-field performance, strengths as an athlete, rankings, or injury history. You should care about him if you are evaluating the Black Bears' coaching staff or recruiting pipeline, not if you are looking for a player to join your team, as he is not a fit for any team's roster as a player.
