Rice DB Joshua Cummings: Reliable, disciplined depth with academic upside
Joshua Cummings profiles as a steady, experienced Rice defensive back whose value is built on reliability rather than splash plays: he appeared in multiple games across his Rice career and was credited with tackles in each season noted on the roster, while also earning Rice Scholar Athlete and multiple C-USA Honor Roll recognitions. At 5-9, 189, he brings a compact frame, consistency, and a team-first profile that fits a coaching staff looking for dependable defensive depth and a smart, low-drama fit in the secondary.
