Mike Spence brings old-school rebounder energy to the Hawks
Mike Spence is a 6-foot-9 forward/center who entered Maryland Eastern Shore with a blue-collar reputation and a nonstop motor, and that still sounds like his calling card: head coach Frankie Allen called him “our workhorse,” praising his athleticism, strength, coachability, and relentless effort. In his UMES season, he appeared in 16 games off the bench and logged limited scoring production, but his value was always more about physicality, rebounding habits, and effort than flashy numbers. If a team wants size, toughness, and a grinder who can change the tone of a practice, Spence fits the bill.
