Derrick Estell brings veteran linebacker instincts to Valpo
Derrick Estell is a familiar, sturdy presence for Valparaiso at linebacker, with a profile that points to a reliable defensive worker rather than a flashy stat-stuffer. In the 2016 season, he recorded 29 total tackles for Valpo, showing he could hold his ground and contribute in the run game, and his background as a multi-year roster piece suggests experience, toughness, and assignment discipline. He looks like the kind of player a staff values for consistency, football IQ, and willingness to do the dirty work.
