Big-bodied lefty with strike-throwing upside and Academic All-District polish
Hunter Winston is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound sophomore left-hander for Ohio who has already shown starter traits and some real staying power. In the 2026 season, he made 13 appearances and 10 starts, logging 41.0 innings with 31 strikeouts, and he earned a win while also being named to the CSC Baseball Academic All-District team[7]. In 2025, he worked 36.0 innings over 14 appearances, including nine starts, and finished with 26 strikeouts[1]. He was a standout at Highland, where coaches and writers praised his power profile, competitive edge, and multi-sport toughness—good signs for a program looking for a durable, projectable lefty[1][4][5].
