the veteran EMU DB with game experience and a steady, assignment-sound profile
Kevin Long’s profile at Eastern Michigan points to a dependable, experienced defensive back who has already logged meaningful game reps and starts, which matters for a secondary that values communication and trust in coverage[1][7]. In the 2026 roster context, his value is less about flashy stats and more about being a proven, in-system DB with enough experience to handle assignments cleanly and bring stability to the back end[1][7].
