ULM Freshman CB with Elite Length and High-Intensity Coverage
Floyd Connell, a 6-1, 165-lb freshman cornerback for the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, stands out with his elite length and relentless coverage intensity, having defended 3 passes in limited action during the 2023 season. While his stats (7 tackles, 0 INTs) reflect a rookie learning curve, his differentiator is his physical frame and aggressive personality that consistently challenges receivers, making him a high-upside fit for teams needing a long-armed CB. No significant injury history is reported, and his background as a top-50 Division 6A high school athlete in Texas underscores his raw talent and adaptability, proving he’s a player worth watching for future dominance.
