Noel Valdez is UC Davis’ workhorse right-hander with legit strike-zone feel
In the 2025 season, Noel Valdez anchored UC Davis’ rotation with 7 wins, a 3.72 ERA, and a 3.25 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and he opened 2025 by throwing 6 scoreless innings against Gonzaga to win Big West Pitcher of the Week[1][2]. He’s a senior right-hander with a bulldog mentality, a four-pitch mix, and the kind of command that keeps games competitive even when he’s not overpowering hitters[2]. If you want a dependable starter who attacks the zone and gives you length, he’s a fit; if you want pure velocity fireworks, that’s not his lane[2].
