Defensive-Minded FAU DB Who Earned MVP-Level Respect
Kris Bartels was a productive Florida Atlantic defensive back who stood out for his tackling and reliability, finishing the 2006 season second on the team with 70 tackles and earning the program’s Defensive MVP honors. He profiles as a gritty, physical DB rather than a pure ball-hawk, which matters if you value a defender who will consistently help clean up plays and stabilize a secondary. His listed size and background suggest a traditional, hard-nosed college defensive back who brought steady effort and production to FAU’s defense.
