Finn Haines brings a live left arm and sneaky upside to Rutgers’ bullpen mix
A freshman LHP at Rutgers in the 2026 season, Finn Haines arrived as New Jersey’s No. 27 overall prospect and No. 4 left-handed pitcher, and his profile already points to a useful southpaw with projection, not just filler innings.[1] He’s a 6-foot, 170-pound righty-throws/lefty-bats arm from Mainland who has already logged 14 appearances in 2026, and summer action with the Vermont Lake Monsters showed two hitless relief innings with three strikeouts, hinting at real late-inning utility.[1][2] The big sell: left-handed look, strike-throwing potential, and room to grow; the caution flag: he’s still a freshman adapting to Division I hitters.[1][2]
