veteran Western Carolina DB with proven ball skills
Marquail Wells is a seasoned Western Carolina defensive back whose value shows up in his playmaking, not just his listing on the roster. In the 2001 season, he recorded an interception against ETSU and was credited with an interception in multiple game reports, suggesting real instinct and ball awareness in coverage. He also logged tackles from the secondary, which points to willingness in run support. If you want a DB who brings experience, opportunism, and physicality, Wells looks like a fit; if you need a flash-only athlete, he reads more like a reliable, assignment-sound defender.
