Larry Franklin brings UMass a versatile DB profile, but public production details are thin
Larry Franklin is listed as a Massachusetts Minutemen defensive back, but publicly available recent stat detail is limited, so the clearest read is that he’s a depth/role piece rather than a headline-grabber. The appeal is in the DB toolkit: size, coverage versatility, and the kind of physical profile that can fit special teams or sub-package work. If you’re shopping for flashy box-score numbers, he’s not the bet; if you want a willing, adaptable defender with room to carve out a role, he’s worth a closer look.
