Rahfeeq Katumbusi is already playing like a future anchor for EIU’s line
In the 2025 season, Rahfeeq Katumbusi started 11 games at center for Eastern Illinois, earned second-team All-OVC Big South honors, and was named a first-team Freshmen All-American by Phil Steele after missing the opener with an injury. He’s also been tabbed a 2026 preseason third-team All-American and ranked No. 30 among returning FCS offensive linemen, which says the national buzz is real. The big differentiator: he combines rare early polish with a championship pedigree from Mount Carmel, where he was a captain on multiple title teams. He looks like a strong fit if your team wants a tough, proven interior blocker with upside.
