A crafty Furman receiver with big-play juice and plus blocking
Zach Smerdzinski’s Furman profile is built on more than catches: he was described as a dependable receiver who catches the ball well in traffic, blocks effectively, and brings big-play ability, plus standout leaping skills. In Furman’s records, his 1998 season included 24 catches for 342 yards, and his career receiving total reached 1,025 yards from 1997-00, which hints at real production over time. If a team wants a wideout who can contribute as a receiver and a willing, physical blocker, he fits the mold well.
