Wake Forest TE with Elite Size, 1,116-Yard Senior Season, and Red-Zone Dominance
Gavin Ellis, a 6-5, 225-pound senior tight end for Wake Forest, delivered a standout 2023 season with 1,116 receiving yards on 53 catches, 8 touchdowns, and a 21.1-yard-per-catch average, proving he’s a rare big-play threat at the TE position. His differentiators include elite size for the role, explosive speed (21.1 YPC), and red-zone reliability (8 TDs), not just volume. Ellis is a redshirt sophomore with 2021–2023 experience, showing maturity and intensity beyond his stats. No major injury history is noted, and his personality reflects a hard-working, team-first mindset. He’s a perfect fit for teams needing a physical, pass-catching TE who can stretch the field and dominate in the end zone. Why care? He’s one of the nation’s most complete TEs with NFL-ready traits.
