Jacob Ehling brings veteran right-handed depth to Southern’s mound mix
Jacob Ehling is a senior right-handed pitcher on Southern’s 2026 roster, and his value is mostly in veteran stability rather than eye-popping public stat lines—Southern’s roster lists him as a RHP, while his prior UAPB record shows he spent multiple seasons in a rotation/relief role without published season stats, suggesting a low-flash, innings-eating profile[1][2]. He looks like a fit for a staff that wants experience, mound toughness, and a pitcher who has already navigated the SWAC grind; the downside is that there isn’t much public statistical evidence of dominant strikeout or run-prevention production to sell him as a frontline arm[1][2].
