Ben LaCarte brings compact DB depth for Duquesne
LaCarte is a **5'10", 165-pound defensive back** for Duquesne, listed on the 2023 roster and on ESPN’s player page, but public stat lines show **no recorded defensive stats in 2023** yet.[1][2] What stands out is less box-score production and more *projectability*: he fits as a depth/role DB who could earn value through coverage discipline, special-teams toughness, and physical competitiveness rather than splash plays. With limited public production data available, he’s best viewed as a developmental fit for a staff that values reliable, coachable secondary pieces.[1][2]
