Brandon Macklin remains a depth DB for Eastern Michigan with little public stat noise
Brandon Macklin is listed by Eastern Michigan as a redshirt sophomore defensive back, but public stat trackers show no meaningful 2026 game log, which suggests his value is more about roster depth and development than headline numbers. EMU’s roster entry also notes he joined as a walk-on and came out of Novi High, hints at a grinder’s path rather than a hype-machine pedigree. If you want a low-drama, developmental DB with local roots and some positional versatility, he fits that mold; if you need an immediate, stat-stuffed playmaker, the current public evidence does not point that way.
