Isaiah Young brings veteran Cal DB instincts, ball production, and reliable run support
In his Cal career from 2020-23, Isaiah Young played in 23 games with 15 starts and totaled 37 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and six pass breakups, with a season-best four pass breakups in 2021 and a knack for timely plays in coverage[1]. The differentiator is the steady, experienced DB profile: a former two-time Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll selection who has shown discipline, toughness, and enough versatility to line up at cornerback and defensive back, making him the kind of dependable fit coaches usually trust when they want smart, assignment-sound football[1].
