Bronx Guard Known for Playmaking, Not Big-Volume Scoring
Torres is a low-usage St. John’s guard whose current value is mostly in steady minutes, perimeter touch, and clean decision-making rather than high-end box-score production; in 2023-24 he averaged 2.3 points, 0.8 rebounds, and 0.3 assists in 7.1 minutes, while shooting 36.0% from three and 76.2% at the line. His broader profile suggests a guard who can fit alongside talent without forcing shots, but the ceiling question is whether he can translate prior shot-creation and passing pedigree into a larger Big East role.
