Jaylen Jacobs brings pass-rush punch and takeaway juice to Army’s linebacker room
In the 2026 season, Jaylen Jacobs enters as a proven Army linebacker with real disruption skills: ESPN lists him with 13 total tackles, 2 sacks, 1 interception, and a 30-yard return in the most recent stat line available, which hints at a defender who can finish plays, not just start them[2]. His Army bio also shows impact moments in 2021, including a 10-yard sack against Liberty and an interception return versus UMass, reinforcing that he flashes as a tone-setting, high-motor outside linebacker[4]. If you want a physical, assignment-sound defender who can create negative plays, he’s worth caring about[2][4].
