Veteran slot corner Tre Herndon brings proven coverage reps and ball skills
Herndon is a battle-tested cover corner who has carved out a role with versatility, toughness, and production in the slot, most notably in the 2023 NFL season when he played 16 games for Jacksonville and posted 46 tackles, 9 pass breakups, and a forced fumble. He has shown ball awareness and competitive consistency, with a career high of 3 interceptions in 2019 and strong late-season PFF grades in 2023. The fit question is simple: he offers experience, physicality, and dependable depth, but he is best viewed as a scheme-specific veteran rather than a shutdown headline name.[11][15][18]
