a former Illini WR with clutch-play flashes, but no current 2026 production trail
Jacob Willis is listed as an Illinois Fighting Illini wide receiver in available records, but the most reliable public data found is historical rather than current: Illinois’ archived materials show him making a touchdown catch in the 2007 upset of Ohio State, while ESPN’s player page still labels him as an Illini WR without offering 2026 stat production. The real differentiator here is not a stat line—it’s that Willis has a documented ability to contribute in high-leverage moments, but there is no current evidence of recent game impact, rankings, or a 2026 role to evaluate for a modern roster fit.
