Demola Onifade brings old-school rim protection to Delaware State
A 6-9 center from Lagos, Nigeria, Demola Onifade built his Delaware State reputation on defense, rebounding, and shot-blocking rather than volume scoring. In his Delaware State career, he was once named Co-Defensive Player of the Week after tying for the MEAC lead with six blocks in a week, including a five-block game at Morgan State; earlier seasons also showed steady rebounding and rim protection, with 2016-17 averages of 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. If a team wants toughness, interior length, and a low-ego paint anchor, he fits the bill.
