Gardner-Webb LB Saiid Murphy: depth-chart name to track in a physical front seven
Saiid Murphy is a Gardner-Webb linebacker whose value is likely to come from the classic LB traits teams covet: physicality, run support, and downhill play in a defense that needs reliable tacklers and tone-setters. The available public results do not provide verified 2025-26 individual production or rankings for Murphy, so the cleanest read is that he profiles as an evaluation player rather than a proven stat-line star. For a fit, look for a team that wants aggression, special-teams toughness, and a linebacker who can grow into a more visible role with snaps and coaching.
