UTRGV’s Malik Lawrence-Anderson: 6'6" frontline glue guy with academic discipline and veteran presence
Malik Lawrence-Anderson is a 6'6" forward who has been part of UTRGV’s program since at least 2020-21 and earned his finance degree in 2022, which hints at a steady, team-first profile rather than a flash-only one. His value is the classic hard-hat forward package: size, rebounding effort, defensive versatility, and the kind of maturity that shows up in clean roles, locker-room steadiness, and low-drama minutes. If you want a dependable culture fit who can help your team by doing the unglamorous stuff, he’s worth a serious look.
